Nolan Grant

Director & Producer

Often described as one of the pre-eminent directors of his generation, Nolan Grant's films have collectively grossed over $1.95 billion worldwide. Despite receiving numerous accolades throughout his career, Grant is notoriously private — choosing to live entirely outside the glare of the media and the traditional Hollywood lifestyle.

Grant began his career working under Baz Luhrmann on the set of Romeo + Juliet (1996). In the formative years that followed, he made his mark directing iconic music videos for some of the world's biggest artists, including Madonna, Kylie Minogue, and Robbie Williams. He co-founded Guiltless Productions in 2001, before enjoying a landmark tenure with A24 from 2012 to 2020 — a period that cemented his reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary cinema.

In 2026, Grant launched Neptune Notion Ltd., his London-based independent production company, and remains among the most active directors working today. He is currently in pre-production for a highly anticipated remake of the classic Out of Africa, set to shoot on location in Botswana in 2027. Additionally, he has completed a screenplay for a follow-up to Gone Girl, and is preparing to shoot Your Bucket List — an original lifestyle series commissioned by Netflix and the BBC, due for release in December 2026.
